Many Atlanta families start a memory care search inside the city and then widen it to Cobb County. Smyrna Village is one home in Smyrna, a Cobb County city. It is not in Atlanta, and there is no Atlanta campus. The address is 1418 Spring St SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
Memory care, Alzheimer's care, and dementia care in one home
Smyrna Village is a Georgia licensed personal care home specializing in memory care. We also welcome residents who need personal care at different levels of support. The home is family-owned and veteran-owned. Voted Best Assisted Living Community, Best of 2025, myVinings/Smyrna.
The community has 46 licensed beds across 38 private and shared suites. Step-free, ground-level entrances to both floors. Help with daily activities, medication administration by Georgia-certified medication aides, and supervision for memory loss are the core of the day. A visiting registered nurse supports resident care. Awake staff are on duty overnight.
What a week looks like
About two hours of structured activities run every day, weekends included, plus small-group or one-on-one time.
The mix includes music, including music therapy sessions, art, chair exercise, Montessori tasks matched to a resident's life story, courtyard gardening, and faith-based activities.
Breakfast is at 8 am, lunch at noon, and dinner at 5 pm, with snacks in the afternoon and evening. Meals are cooked in the on-site kitchen.
About once a month, residents go on a community outing: on foot to the Village Green or the Smyrna History Museum across the street, down the road to Durham Park, or by rented van.
How Atlanta families stay close

The public phone, (404) 490-3719, is also the after-hours line answered by community leadership.
Who is not a fit
Smyrna Village cannot admit anyone who needs 24-hour skilled nursing, a ventilator, IV therapy, or tube feeding, or who shows active physical aggression. This is not a nursing home.
